Tony was born and raised in Chicago Ill. He Graduated from Columbia College Chicago earning a BA degree in TV Production. During the early 80’s Tony stared out as a Television director for WSIU TV in Carbondale Ill, directing news, documentaries, and talking head programs. After being in television for several years, Tony enrolled in a Community Film workshop program, in Chicago. He studied under the renowned photographer Jim Taylor. Through out the 1980’s, Tony made a series of short films in Chicago. In 1994 Tony Moved to New York, where he began shooting his feature documentary film “Word.” The film deals with the underground hip hop scene in New York. Word was theatrical release worldwide in 2001 and release on DVD in 2002. Tony is currently working on his second feature film.
